DVS was founded in 1995 by Kevin Dunlap and Tim Gavin. Originally, it started as a shoe and sneaker brand for men, but has recently expanded somewhat enormously and they quickly began to produce skate sneakers for both girls and children. DVS is today owned by Podim Distribution and the latest addition to the company is the Luxe collection. A collection that is more focused on fashion and trends rather than traditional shoes and skateboard clothes.
Like many other companies that focus on skateboard shoes, DVS Footwear has its own patented design. CGT Technology keeps your skate feet safe! DVS is also very involved in environmental issues and the shoes are always produced with materials that can be recycled. Some of DVS's most famous and sought after models are: Berra 6, Berra 3 CT, Militia, Enduro Heir and Transom.
DVS Footwear was the first skateboard shoe company to start with its own collection for children, called Kids DVS Shoes. With such a wide collection, your child has the same shoes as his big brother or as a famous skateboarder. These shoes have been a huge success, children love them, both because they are so trendy but also because the shoes make them feel like a cool teenager. What makes it even better is that models such as the Berra 6 and Enduro Heir are exactly the same for children. The parents also like them, this because of the nice but above all very affordable models.
DVS has over the years diversified so much that they are not only sponsors for famous skateboarders in the world but also for famous snowboarders, surfers and motocross riders. Daewon Song, Steve Berra, Zered Bassett and Keith Hufnagel are just some of the professionals who are sponsored by DVS and who also make sure that you, as a customer, get the best and most durable skateboard shoe. Despite all the other categories that DVS is familiar with, the brand continues to be number one in the damage board shoes and clothing market and the future looks very bright.
