Mammut is a leading Swiss brand in mountaineering, still quite unknown in the Nordics but incredibly large in the Alps. When Kaspar Tanner laid the foundation for the company Mammut in 1862, their focus was first and foremost on climbing ropes, but today they develop, manufacture and sell all types of equipment and clothing for mountaineering, outdoor life and winter sports. Mammut is proof that a small, traditional family business can be developed into a modern, innovative company and Mammut is today one of the largest players in its industry. Mammut currently has around 300 employees, subsidiaries in Germany, Norway, Japan and the USA as well as a worldwide sales network.
