Since its inception, more than a hundred years ago, Primus has been a concept for cooking, heating and lighting. Roald Amundsen brought a Primus kitchen with him when he was the first to reach the South Pole on December 14, 1911. Sir Edmund Hillary and Tenzing Norgay used Primus on Mount Everest when they reached the top on May 29, 1953. These are just two of several startling adventures that have depended on Primus in the past. Even today, we are constantly searching for improved technology and smart solutions for most adventures… Our passion for nature added with our technical expertise is the secret behind each of these innovations. This is also the reason why we hand test each kitchen before leaving our factory in Estonia. Our goal is to ensure that each of the kitchens becomes a reliable, lifelong companion.
